Our First Week on the Sidelines

Our very first week live: three swim practices, two AEDs placed with our founding families, and a kid-run booth that raised $68 at this morning's swim meet.

This was our very first week as Bee Ready, and what a way to begin. From poolside practices to our first swim meet, our Bee Team showed up, suited up, and reminded everyone why we exist: to help keep kids safe and ready when it matters most.

Three practices, one big morning

In the days leading up to this morning's swim meet, we staffed three swim practices, getting to know the athletes, families, and coaches, and making sure trained eyes and lifesaving gear were on the sidelines. Every practice built toward today's meet, the Eno Valley Orcas at the Fairfield Fins.

Two AEDs, two founding families

We also deployed two AEDs to our two founding families, the people who believed in Bee Ready first. Every device we place puts lifesaving help a little closer to the kids and communities we serve.

The kids ran the booth

For the swim meet, we printed a poster board and set up our very first booth, then handed it over to the people who do it best: the kids. They sold Bee Ready car magnets and collected donations, raising $68 for the day to help put AEDs on the sidelines of youth sports.

Happy to be there, happier we weren't needed

As always, we were thrilled to be part of the morning. But the best part? No one needed us. That is the goal every single time: to be prepared, to be confident, and to never have to use the skills we teach. Here's to a great first week, and to many more safe ones ahead.
